I have no need at the minute really, but I am going on holiday next year so I thought some sale shopping on a few items for next year would be well thought out. I think I’m right. Haha. I’ll post again when they arrive and tell you how they fair.
Oh, you’re being spoiled today, two posts!!
Okay, this little app “Duolingo” is free, yup, FREE. I downloaded it yesterday to brush up on my French for going to Paris in November. It offers several languages including: Spanish, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese.
When you first start, it asks you to set a goal, how many minutes a day etc, then you go about doing 5 little quizzes to increase your knowledge. For someone (like me) who’s brushing up on their skills for a holiday, it’s great, however, I haven’t used it for a new language just yet!! But I’d definitely say, give it a try. 😊
So, as you all know, I have been collecting these beautiful DVDs. Sadly, I was unable to find the 24th DVD (Pocahontas). However, Alex woke me this morning at 3am to tell me she’s found her and was shipping her my way! How exciting!!
A wee thing about Disney DVDs that I didn’t know is that most come with a little piece of paper on the inside. If you go to the website it tells you, join, put in the code AND the last 6 digits of the DVD, you get 100 points. Once you gain 500 points, you can get a free DVD!! I managed to get The Arostocats, Tinkerbell, Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure, and Tinkerbell and the Great Fairy Rescue. An exciting way to collect DVDs!
Off the clothing topic, Disney have released 24 movies with Villains on the covers to celebrate 90 years.
The list includes:
The Jungle Book
The Little Mermaid
Alice in Wonderland
The Princess and the Frog
Lady and the Tramp
The Emperors New Groove
The Black Cauldron
The Hunchback of Notre Dame
Basil the Great Mouse Detective
Oz The Great and Powerful
101 Dalmatians (Live Action)
The movies were picked by those currently working for Disney, and the top 24 were chosen for the villain treatment. I bought The Little Mermaid and Peter Pan in Disney Store in Belfast for £5.99 each, but I bought Oz The Great and Powerful off Zavvi on eBay for £8.99. Sadly, the online Disney Store doesn’t stock the villain covers so you’d need to be in Belfast (or a disney store near you) to pick them up.
I, personally, am gonna try and get as many as possible since I’m updating my DVD collection to be independent from Rebecca’s. I’m particularly looking forward to getting Mulan and Pocahontas if I can find them, they seem quite elusive.
Keep in mind that these DVDs are only available for the month of June so it may be wise to collect soon!
For those of you who follow my normal blog, you will have already seen these bad boys. My new loves. My Vans sunglasses! You can get them here in peach or black.
Okay, my review is simple, buy them. They are definitely worth the money. I love the fact that the lens is round, despite the frames being cat-eye. Thought it’d be a new twist on an old classic.
They’re perfect for my small-ish face and don’t look to wide at all (which is something I always worry about). Well-made, sturdy glasses. 👍
On a side note, my nails are done by Kirsti Adair, and if you’re in the Larne area you shall find her here.
TFNC Party Floral Cami Dress: £38.00: tfnclondon.com (I wear size Small).
I originally spotted this dress in DV8, where it cost £42.99, you can find it in their store’s as it isn’t available online (if you’re a student, they do discount within store), however you can find it directly from the TFNC website here.
Again, due to my petite frame it kind of framed whatever femininity I have, with smaller breasts it was easier to keep this dress looking classy, not that I don’t think a woman with larger breasts would suit it, I just feel she would be significantly less covered in this particular item.
All in all it’s a well made dress, comfortable, and covers my butt when I bend down also (which I always the first thing I check). Since I am yet to wear this out, I can’t give a proper verdict on how it works throughout use, but I am certain it’ll be a great item.
Charity Japanese Woven Slinky Printed Kimono: £15.00: boohoo.com (I wear size Small).
So I bought this little number from Boohoo, you can get it here. After trying it on, it feels cool and light, looks beautiful and if comfortable.
It’s not a great photo of me wearing it, but due to my petite frame it kind of swamped me. Luckily, kimono’s should be worn large so it still fitted beautifully.
I’ve finally decided what I’m gonna do with this blog. I’m gonna make it a place for my latest purchases and a review on the items, anything from clothes, shoes, and hair products to toys, games, and books.
Dunno when I’ll begin, but I assure you, it’ll be soon, keep your eyes peeled.
